Collaborative projects continue to remain a strong point for its business, and in 2022, the brand further built contributed to its legacy alongside Stüssy with multiple projects. After banding together to produce Air Force 1 Mid capsule Air Max 2015 capsules, the two are set to close out 2022 with a Nike Air Max Penny 2 capsule.
Centered around NBA legend Penny Hardaway‘s signature model from ‘96, this latest capsule consists of two colorways. One is an all-black number that features a touch of white thanks to its angelic Stüssy branding while the other bears a “Vivid Green/Black” arrangement.
Stüssy has officially announced the new assemblage with playful campaign elements. The first is a short film that features Lil Penny — a smaller, animated version of the hoops icon — surfing in the ocean and rocking the two-toned variation. The other features a photoshoot that includes Hardaway and his companion, the former of which has the all-black colorway on along with a matching gray Stüssy x Nike sweatsuit.
Stüssy is dropping these in North America, Europe and the UK on December 16 while Japan and other regions will be seeing their release on December 17. Peep a look at the pairs above.
